Sinfonia Ancaster’s concert season runs from September to June and will include three concerts, premiering with a holiday performance in late November.

The Ancaster Society for the Performing Arts and Music at Fieldcote have added a community orchestra, Sinfonia Ancaster, to their dynamic roster of cultural initiatives.

 

Sinfonia Ancaster has existed for more than nine years in its previous capacity as a Redeemer University program. The orchestra provides an opportunity for enthusiastic players to experience the excitement and professionalism of a formal orchestra environment while joining forces with local entertainers to mount a yearly concert series.

 

The orchestra’s diverse repertoire includes classical, pops and original compositions as well as choral works and showcasing local soloists. Sinfonia Ancaster’s concert season runs from September to June and will include three concerts, premiering with a holiday performance in late November.

 

Sinfonia Ancaster currently includes 35 musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds.

Conductor Dr. Jacob Haramule and six professional musicians provide support and mentorship to help the musicians grow and develop their skill as both individual players and ensemble members.
