Sinfonia Ancaster is a community symphony orchestra providing uniquely entertaining classical performances. It was founded in 2015 as a successor to Redeemer University College Sinfonia, offering community musicians and talented music students the opportunity to play in an orchestral setting under the guidance of professional instrumental coaches. Sinfonia Ancaster actively collaborates with and features local talents, renowned artists, and local and regional choral groups, and in doing so aims to foster artistic relations with the community at large.

Sinfonia Ancaster is active from September to May with concerts in October, December, March and May. Chamber ensembles from the orchestra perform in additional community festivals and events throughout the year. As the resident symphony orchestra in the new Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre, it is our goal to continue to establish the orchestra as a central element of the cultural fabric of Ancaster and the surrounding region and provide a new and dynamic dimension to a growing arts environment.
