In the exciting finale to our 2025-2026 season, Sinfonia’s own principal cellist, Amber Ghent, will captivate the audience with a performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto, an elegiac masterpiece (and his last major work). Also on the program, the orchestra performs internationally-renowned Canadian composer Samy Moussa’s shimmering Elysium, which paints a breathtaking sonic picture of the afterlife. Finally, the towering and magnificent 3rd Symphony of Saint-Saëns, with guest artist Ian Sadler on organ, will have you on your feet! Popularized on the soundtrack of the 1995 family movie Babe, the composer’s third symphony perfectly showcases the scale of its namesake instrument.
